Damn it's Hot! But there were plenty of fans around - both kinds!
Pelican Cove hosts their Tuesday night Jam sessions out on the back patio. I joined Bubba and Sonny for a musical free-for-all and we had a great time!
The steady hum of the fans was acceptable as that was the only thing keeping things cool enough to concentrate on the music.
We jammed on “Lookin' for Love,” “Pirate Looks at 40,” “Daydreams about Night Things,” “Lyin' Eyes,” “Ramblin' Man,” “Soulshine,” “Against the Wind,” “Mama Tried” and others. I solo'd on “Desperado” and originals “My Mississippi” and “Just call me Stevia.” I made it through “Tiny Dancer” with the help of the audience. One of the other visiting musicians wanted to sing “Georgia” and I was grateful to be able to accompany him.
Drinks and service were great. Chicken wings hit the spot. This is a great place for musicians to come jam and for fans to come listen and sing along.
